I have used the Seat/Yoke from Spring Creek Manufacturing on my tripping boats for over 20 years. Because the yoke sits above the level of the gunwales, you have incredible leverage when hoisting onto your shoulders. There is no more comfortable way to portage a canoe. The yoke's padded slings give and move with you as you bounce down the trail. Plus, your head isn't buried inside the canoe allowing you to see the trail ahead much easier. Because the yoke is above the gunwales, it also allows you to easily slide and position packs in the center of the canoe. A simple pushpin allows you to flip it from yoke to seat. Perfect for when you need a third seat.
